Occupational Health and Safety is critical to the functions and operations of the Implementation Coordinating Office (ICO).
The office is committed to the safety of all its employees at all times and in every work they do; in the field, outdoors or indoors. The safety of staff is paramount; ensuring that work is done effectively and efficiently without risk.
ICO has an established a OHS Committee which is reviewed annually;
- OHS Members – Ms Aralai Tagiveitaua, Mr Petero Saniele and Ms Shalini Chand
- Managment Rep – Mrs Karalaini Waqanidrola
The office has formulated a OHS Policy, OHS Implementation Plan, Safety & Risk Managment Procedures and also conducted the respective OHS Audits and reviews for 2013 and 2014.
In its testiment to ensuring the safety and health of staff is paramount, ICO also has an Environment and Energy Officer, Mrs Karalaini Waqanidrola who is responsible for ensuring;
- the environment is clean, safe and OHS complaint
- conservation of energy by monitoring the office’s energy usage quarterly and enforcing th necessary changes.
