National Monitoring Centre

The National Monitoring Centre (NMC) was established in 2010 in colloboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit as a means to monitor the progress of each Ministry throughout the year.

The Centre captures the outcomes of each Ministry in government against the Roadmap for Democracy and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development 2010-2014 and the intentions of the people through the People’s Charter for Change Peace and Progress.

The outcomes are alligned against respective outputs or activities that need to be completed by the Ministry or Department within each Quarter of the year. The progress of each Ministry is reflected on a matrix in the National Monitoring Centre.

The Centre is also used to host respective Ministries for their Quarterly briefings. Members of the Diplomatic Corps, visiting regional agencies or bodies, NGOs, CSOs etc. are also hosted at for an update on Fiji’s Political, Economic or Development situation.
